World War Blue (蒼い世界の中心で Aoi Sekai no Chūshin de , lit. In the Center of the Blue World) is a Japanese fantasy anime produced by 5th Avenue that airs on Tokyo MX based on the manga series written by Anastasia Shestakova and illustrated by Crimson. The anime series debuted on October 20, 2012 in Japan and is directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa.[1][2][3] The series will also be available online through the online streaming site Crunchyroll.[4] On January 11, 2017, TOKU announced that it will premiere the World War Blue anime series in February. [5] [6] Later this month, was announced to begin on February 6.
The opening theme is "retrospective world" by Nobuhiko Okamoto and Hiro Shimono while the ending theme is "0 to 1 no Hana" (0と1の花 ) by Suzuko Mimori and Izumi Kitta.
Synopsis[]
The Segua Kingdom has been losing the war against Ninteldo Empire but the tables are turned by the appearance of a boy called Gear. All the characters are parodies of various Nintendo or Sega games such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda etc.

Segua Kingdom[]
- Gear (ギア Gia ) - Gear, voiced by Nobuhiko Okamotom, is the main protagonist of the series. He is based off of Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog.
- Nel (ネル Neru ) - Nel, voiced by Suzuko Mimori, is one of the protagonists of the series. She is based off of Nei from Phantasy Star II.
- Til (ティル Tiru ) - Til, voiced by Kouki Uchiyama, is a supporting character in the series. He is based off of Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog.
- Opal (オパール Opāru ) - Opal, voiced by Izumi Kitta, is one of the protagonists of the series. She is based off of Opa Opa from Fantasy Zone.
- Ramses (ラムセス Ramusesu ) - Ramses, voiced by Yukiko Monden, is a supporting character in the series. She is based off of Columns.
- Tejirof (テジロフ Tejirofu ) - Tejirof, voiced by Hiro Shimono, is one of the protagonists of the series. He is based off of Tetris.

- Marcus (マルクス Marukusu ) - Marcus, voiced by Atsushi Ono, is the main antagonist in the series. He is based off of Mario from Super Mario Bros.
- Zelig (ゼリグ Zerige ) - Zelig, voiced by Takehito Koyasu, is a supporting character in the series. He is based off of Link from The Legend of Zelda.
- Guliji (グリージ Guriji ) - Guliji is a supporting character in the series. He is based off of Luigi from Super Mario Bros.
- Fare (ファーエ Fāe ) - Fare is a supporting character in the series. She is based off of Fire Emblem.
- Masa (マーサ Māsa ) - Masa is a supporting character in the series. He is based off of EarthBound.
- Carvai (カーヴァイ Kavai ) - Carvai is a supporting character in the series. She is based off of Kirby and King Dedede from Kirby.
- Saroid (サーロイド Sāroido ) - Saroid is a supporting character in the series. She is based off of Samus Aran from Metroid.
- Foster (フォスタ Fosuta ) - Foster is a supporting character in the series. He is based off of Fox McCloud from Star Fox.
- Pirika (ピカチュウ Pirika ) - Pirika is a supporting character in the series. She is based off of Pikachu from Pokémon
